About NASP

As a non-profit organization, the National Association for Shoplifting Prevention (NASP) is committed to helping offenders put shoplifting behind them forever. NASP offers education, prevention and rehabilitation programs in addition to self-help and support services for people in need and / or who are court-ordered to complete a program.

NASP has been setting the standard for research-based, court approved shoplifter programs since 1989. NASP programs were created from extensive research surrounding the thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, perceptions, motivations and behaviors of more than 600,000 adult and juvenile shoplifting offenders.

NASP's core programs, the Shoplifters Alternative Course (SA Course) for adults and the Youth Educational Shoplifting Program (Y.E.S. Program) for juveniles, have been approved by thousands of criminal justice professionals and utilized in more than 2,000 jurisdictions, nationwide.

NASP is a private non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
